Since arriving in the UAE a number of years ago, we have consistently heard great things about the Ripe Markets that take place at various locations throughout the Emirates. Located approximately 222km from Abu Dhabi is the sleepy haven of Liwa Oasis, a place of seclusion and tranquility, as far from the glitz and glamour of the city as you can get in the UAE. It takes just over two hours to drive to Liwa from Abu Dhabi, making it the perfect place for a weekend getaway or mini break.
Last week Out & About took a trip to the Eastern Mangroves National Park in Abu Dhabi with Noukhada Adventure Company. The mangroves are located just off of the E48 highway, and though the launch point was a little tricky to find, upon arrival we were greeted warmly by the Noukhada team. Once kitted out with the kayaking essentials of life vests and paddles, and after a brief safety demonstration, we were off!
